Awake, opening at the end of the month and starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen, is about a patient whose failed anesthesia leaves him fully conscious but paralyzed during surgery.
Doctors assumed he was "put under" but he was not. Could this actually happen?
Unfortunately the experience, known as anesthesia awareness, is real, not fictional.
