Awake Reviews

Awake has opened in US theaters yesterday and there are quite a few reviews online - seems the critics aren't all that pleased with it ... but then again, they never are.

A thriller that could put viewers to sleep
Disastrous Awake puts viewer to sleep - This tale of anesthetic awareness could have been so much better.
Down but Not Really Out
'Awake': The Rapid Pulse Of a Tell-Tale Heart
Bottom Line: Sleep won't be an option.
'Awake' Plot-packed, But Nothing To Stay Up For
This 'thriller' is both joyless and tedious
Awake drifts in and out of consciousness
'Awake' is mostly one to snooze through - Idea of being alert during surgery is better on paper
Picke: Dream cast keeps medical thriller taut
Movie review: Awake
'Awake' is a nightmare
'Awake' will keep you up
Awake Movie Review
Doctor’s orders: Avoid ‘Awake’

On other news - youtube has deleted quite a few clips of the Awake promotion. But I think the DH.net video archive has everything for download.

Awake video

Here's a funny video from the red carpet of the Awake premiere.

Hayden has been on two shows (so far) today, I'm sure videos of his appearances will be on youtube soon.

More Awake

Could this happen?

Hayden Christensen (on stretcher), Terrence Howard and Jessica Alba star in Awake, a Hollywood thriller that addresses the issue of anesthesia awareness.
An upcoming Hollywood horror movie promises to do for surgery what Jaws did for swimming in the ocean.
Awake, opening at the end of the month and starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen, is about a patient whose failed anesthesia leaves him fully conscious but paralyzed during surgery.
Doctors assumed he was "put under" but he was not. Could this actually happen?
Unfortunately the experience, known as anesthesia awareness, is real, not fictional.

More Awake premiere

Hayden and Rachel keep their distance at New York premiere

They've kept the world guessing about the status of their relationship since they were first pictured getting cosy this spring, and Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson were once again giving nothing away this week as they attended the New York premiere of the Canadian actor's new flick, Awake. (... more here)

Awake premiere - NYC

Jessica, Hayden and Rachel Are Wide Awake in NYC
While she's not the star of the film, I must say that fresh off her morning of charity Rachel Bilson stole the show in her strapless blue and white at last night's Manhattan premiere of the thriller Awake. She was out to support her boy, Hayden, who is in the movie alongside Jessica Alba, who herself was dateless. Sadly it looks like R-Bils and Hayden are taking their cues from the Affleck-Garners and didn't do the red carpet thing. Hopefully, they won't keep it up when they have their own movie, Jumper to promote. ( ... read and see more pictures here)
