When we last saw Hayden Christensen, he was armless, legless, and being burned alive in a pit of lava. His wife was about to die in childbirth and his former best friend had left him for dead. He—or at least his best-known character, Anakin Skywalker—was about to don the black robes of Darth Vader and unleash one of the goofiest bellows in cinematic history, hollering “Nooooooooo!” and shaking his gloved fists at the universe. Jumper 2 - Sequel Plans
With Jumper opening number one at the box office, the very transparent plans for a sequel could well come to fruition.
Hayden Christiansen had this to say on the press tour - “Director Doug Liman already has another four stories in his head. I would love to do a sequel. It lends itself to it - there are a lot of things you could do.”
Liman himself says he has a “ton” of ideas.

Sci-fi film Jumper leads US chart
Jumper, the sci-fi thriller starring Hayden Christensen, has topped the box office chart in North America on its first week of release.
The film, which also featured Samuel L Jackson and Diane Lane, took $27.2m (£13.9m) in the first three days of the Presidents' Day holiday weekend.

Hayden Christensen Went Blind On Film Set
Hayden Christensen went blind on the set of his latest movie 'Jumper'.
The 26-year-old actor feared he would never see again after sustaining a particularly bad head injury during one fight scene.
Hayden - who plays David Rice, a man who can teleport anywhere in the world - said: "It was a physical part and my character took some beatings. I got knocked around quite a bit. (read more)
Bell full of praise for co-star Hayden
Jamie Bell has described Hayden Christensen as the "perfect choice" for the lead role in their new movie Jumper.
Christensen was a late replacement for British actor Tom Sturridge and Bell believes he and the former Star Wars actor created "tremendous energy" on screen.
Bell told Croydon Today: "We had the best time, we had the most fun and got to do some pretty crazy things together. (read more)

For those of you waiting on the edge of your seat for the new movie “Jumper,” your wait is almost over. Last night Rachel Bilson, Hayden Christensen and the rest of the cast helped usher in the new movie at a NYC premiere.
The place to be was the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City last eve. Even though the weather was a bit on the freezing side, everyone showed up for a first look at “Jumper” (which opens on Valentine’s Day). (read & see more)
