With Jumper opening number one at the box office, the very transparent plans for a sequel could well come to fruition.

Hayden Christiansen had this to say on the press tour - “Director Doug Liman already has another four stories in his head. I would love to do a sequel. It lends itself to it - there are a lot of things you could do.”

Liman himself says he has a “ton” of ideas.

Jumper, the sci-fi thriller starring Hayden Christensen, has topped the box office chart in North America on its first week of release.

The film, which also featured Samuel L Jackson and Diane Lane, took $27.2m (£13.9m) in the first three days of the Presidents' Day holiday weekend.

Hayden Christensen Went Blind On Film Set

Hayden Christensen went blind on the set of his latest movie 'Jumper'.

The 26-year-old actor feared he would never see again after sustaining a particularly bad head injury during one fight scene.

Bell full of praise for co-star Hayden

Jamie Bell has described Hayden Christensen as the "perfect choice" for the lead role in their new movie Jumper.

Christensen was a late replacement for British actor Tom Sturridge and Bell believes he and the former Star Wars actor created "tremendous energy" on screen.

20th Century Fox has launched a cool new contest for Jumper, the sci-fi action-thriller directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) and starring Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Rachel Bilson and Jamie Bell.

Now, on to some news:

You may have already heard the news about the NEUROMANCER movie. What you didn't hear was who would be starring in this ambitious adaptation of the cyberpunk classic. JoBlo.com sources have told us that Hayden Christensen will star in NEUROMANCER as Case, the former hacker at the center of the story.

"Hayden is lovely. Very sweet, very humble," the 26-year-old actress told Extra. "I guess he's the opposite of what people think of somebody with his amount of success and notoriety in this business. He's known all over the world. Girls scream at him everywhere but he's so shy.

"He's not that cocky guy. He gives everyone hugs. On the first day on set, he brought me cupcakes he got with his grandparents. He's a real good person."

An upcoming Hollywood horror movie promises to do for surgery what Jaws did for swimming in the ocean.
Awake, opening at the end of the month and starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen, is about a patient whose failed anesthesia leaves him fully conscious but paralyzed during surgery.
Doctors assumed he was "put under" but he was not. Could this actually happen?
Unfortunately the experience, known as anesthesia awareness, is real, not fictional.

Some time later, the director went off to shoot exteriors and I was left to have an hour-long conversation with Hayden Christensen.

I had thought it would be impossible to try to make small talk with someone like Christensen without being dumbfounded by his star power, but something about the fact that he had ordered and eaten a 8-incher from Jimmy John's made it easier to strike up a conversation. I was pleasantly surprised to find the actor engaging, polite and respectful of the many fans who walked by begging for autographs.

I asked him, "Do you mind all this?"

"This is what I signed up for," he replied. "I remember when I went to hockey games and asked for signatures; I liked the guys that gave them, didn't like the ones that didn't."

Now that's just classy.

And I will add, there's no experience more humbling than standing next to an actor for an hour and having every girl who passes comment on how hot he looks. (...)

Kirsten Dunst is rumoured to have been offered the role of Vivienne Westwood in a new film about her life according to Hollywood rumours.

The actress is apparently front runner to bag the role according to fashionista but nothing has been confirmed and filming will not start until next year.

The part of Westwood's partner Malcolm McLaren is rumoured to have already been given to Hayden Christiansen.

John Powell to Score "Jumper"

20th Century Fox has confirmed to Film Music Weekly that John Powell has been hired to score Jumper, the upcoming sci-fi adventure directed by Doug Liman, with whom Powell worked previously on Mr and Mrs Smith and The Bourne Identity. The film, which stars Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson and Diane Lane, tells the story about a teenager who discovers that he can teleport from one place to another. Film is scheduled to premiere on February 15 next year.
